"This family vineyard sits above the town of Clarendon, at around 280m, near the border of the Adelaide Hills GI, with this seeing 18 months in new and older French oak. Red fruits provide the drive, with dried black olive, thyme and an earthy, ferrous minerality attendant. The relatively lofty locale and chill vintage make for a wine with cool-climate credentials, albeit at full ripeness. Supple, succulent and rippling with pristine fruit, there’s also a pleasingly fine strictness of structure and fresh acidity at play. It’s an excellent release."
