The Angove Family own and operate the St Agnes Distillery, one of Australia’s oldest continuously operating distilleries. Located on the quiet banks of the River Murray in South Australia the original historic Copper Pot Stills were installed in 1910 by Carl Angove. In 1925, after a research trip and study in France young winemaker Ron Haselgrove was offered a job a the St Agnes Distillery. Carl's inspiration and dedication, coupled with Ron's technical knowledge, to create a new style of Australian brandy, lighter and more delicate than anything previously produced, gave life to the St Agnes brandy we enjoy to this day.
The St Agnes distillery is Australia’s oldest continually run, family owned distillery and St Agnes brandy is Australia’s most highly awarded and most popular brandy, an iconic spirit that has won 'world's best brandy' three times over the decades.
Every year since 1925, the St Agnes Distillery has been carefully handcrafting and ageing brandy in the historic St Agnes Barrel Halls, with the clear purpose of showing the world another face of Australian produce excellence by creating Australian spirits of exceptional world standard.
With amazing aged brandy stock the St Agnes Distillery is in a unique position to offer an incredible range of diverse brandy spirits. From the popular VS (Very Superior) and VSOP (Very Special Old Pale) to our stunning XO (Extra Old) spirits featuring 15 Year Old, 20 Year Old and 40 Year Old aged releases.
The St Anges Distillery has also diversified it offering, now producing exclusive and small batch Single Malt Whisky under the Camborne Whisky label as well as award winning certified Organic Gin under the provocative Blind Tiger Gin range.
