PHILOSOPHY
Great wines are a result of championing prosperous communities and healthy environments.

CRAFT WINEMAKING
Winemaking is a blend of science and art; a craft that captures the soil, site, and season. From soil to grape to glass, growing grapes and making wine has always been at the heart of the Angove DNA, with the philosophy that great wines begin in the vineyard, are crafted and polished in the winery, and served with pride and conviction.
Angove’s 115-year-old winery, the first in the region, benefits from both traditional and modern winemaking equipment and techniques. Specifically, the modern small-batch micro winery handles our premium McLaren Vale and certified organic wines. These wines are crafted using traditional hand plunging for our smaller stainless steel open fermenters, while our historic 8-tonne concrete open fermenters are gently pumped over. These methods guarantee extraction of vibrant colour and pristine varietal flavours, allowing each wine to reflect its unique terroir. Maturation in the state of the art temperature-controlled barrel hall ensures our wines also maintain freshness and vibrancy throughout the aging process, resulting in elegant, expressive wines with regional character.
Accredited to the highest standard, the state-of-the-art bottling facility guarantees Angove wines are estate bottled and packed with care and love, under the watchful and ever-present eyes of the family and their team. As a proud family-owned winery, we are committed to sustainable winemaking practices, ensuring every bottle tells a story of quality, integrity, and passion.

A SENSE OF PLACE
As proud South Australians, the Angove family are mindful of the generations to come, strategically planning for the long-term viability of the business, and consciously caring for the environment and the soils that are their past, present and future.
The Angove family portray their philosophy through clear actions, leading the way in organic and sustainable viticulture and winemaking, thereby safeguarding their future, by caring for the environment that is essential for grape production. Importantly, organic viticulture nurtures naturally healthy soils and vines that deliver distinctly flavourful and delicious wines.
No other place on earth can create the diversity and vibrant personality of wines that can be showcased here, in South Australia.

OUR COMMUNITY
Angove Family Winemakers is proudly family-owned and family-driven. Now under the guidance of the fifth generation, the business continues to be shaped by the values instilled by our founders over a century ago—integrity, innovation, and a profound respect for the land. With an eye firmly on the future, the family’s hope is that generations to come will continue to embrace this philosophy, building on a legacy that has earned Angove its place as one of Australia’s most iconic and respected family-owned wineries and distillation businesses.
But while the vines grow the grapes, it’s the people who give Angove Family Winemakers its heart and soul. From vineyard to cellar, from marketing to maintenance, the Angove team shares a common purpose: to make the best wine possible, every single year. This commitment is not only to quality, but to sustainability, authenticity, and community.
Stewards of over 200 hectares of certified organic vineyards the family’s approach is rooted in organic viticulture and regenerative practices. Every decision, whether in the vineyard or winery, is made with a long-term view to protect the land, water, and climate for the generations to come.
At Angove, winemaking isn’t just a business—it’s a lifelong pursuit of excellence, built on tradition but never bound by it. As both winemakers and distillers, the family’s creativity and vision continue to evolve, proving that a commitment to craft, sustainability, and family can produce not just great wine and spirits—but a truly enduring legacy.
