REGION: South Eastern Australia VITICULTURE & WINEMAKING: Angove’s Artist Series Chardonnay Pinot is a non-vintage sparkling wine made by the traditional ‘methode champenoise’. By this technique a secondary ferment is introduced to the base wine which is then allowed to age on yeast lees for an extended period. The lees sediment is then disgorged and after the addition of the ‘liqueur d’expedition’, a short settling/integration period takes place before final packaging. WINEMAKER’S NOTES: This is a full-flavoured sparkling wine with a creamy, rich complexity showing fresh fruit flavours and a characteristic toastiness.
